S1 Chardonnay Nuviana Valle de Cinca 13.5% 2 £13.25 Straw coloured with a golden glint. Intense aroma with hints of fleshy fruits such as peaches and passion fruit. This is a young, well-balanced wine that is easy to drink and unpretentious, however it retains a hint of rebelliousness as a consequence of its youth. S2 Marqués de Cáceres Rioja 12.5% 2 £14.25 Very clear and bright straw colour, Aromas of pears, white flowers and mineral notes come through on the nose. Very delicious in the mouth where flavours of pears and apples blend with finesse with this wines fresh and racy character. Very good length S3 Albariño Rias Baixas 12.5% 2 £24.95 Grown in the warm but wet climes of North-Eastern Spain around Santiago. It resembles viognier in style; full-bodied yet with very fresh acidity, showing full, rich flavours of peach and stone fruit with hints of honey. A wonderful match with seafood and shellfish of all types. A superb wine, my favourite Spanish white! Red Wines
4 Don Placero Rioja 13.00% B £13.45 Nicely aged red colour. Softly oaky smooth style. S4 Tempranillo/Cabernet Sauvignon Nuviana 12.5% C £13.45 Deep cherry colour, with slight hints of crimson. Intense aroma of red berries. Spicy, toasted characters. Red and black fruit flavours together with a hint of oak. S5 Señorío de los Llanos Reserva Valdepeñas 12.5% C £14.75 Deep red colour, with complex bouquet of fruits and delicate toasted overtones of coffee and cocoa. Clear, tasty, a great wine. Again one of my favourites S6 Azabache Crianza Rioja 13.5% C £17.95 Instantly attractive combination of vital strawberry fruit and soft oak flavours that are the hallmark of Rioja and its universal appeal. Very satisfying S7 Riberal Crianza Ribera del Duero 13.5% D £25.95 This is an excellent Crianza wine made from 100% Tinto Fino. It comes from Bodegas Santa Eulalia in La Horra, Burgos . Nice maturity with notes of tobacco, plum and coffee. Warm mellow style with good length. S8 Viña Ardanza Reserva La Rioja Alta 1998/99 D £34.95 One of Rioja’s greatest bodegas. This is a classic wine - dark red with an intense aroma of fine fruit, just one of the best Champagne & Sparkling Wines34 Richmond Royal Brut NV, Australia 12.0% 2 £15.95 Adds an ultra-refreshing lemony zip to any celebration! 35 Freixinet Cordon Negro Cava Spain 12.0% 2 £20.45 Sunny, generous, zippy “sparkler” from Spain! Superb golden sparkler, with elegant fizz and full ripe 37 Joseph Perrier Cuvee Royale Brut France 12.0% 1 £33.45 Fresh appley well integrated style.
