IPA – 3.4% abv – an enjoyable pint whose flavour far outweighs its
alcohol strength and a great beer to drink at lunchtimes with a
sandwich, pasty or a superb fish dish. IPA is a rich golden colour
and is packed full of delicate hop flavours, that blossom on the
palate
Tribute – 4.2% abv – Tribute is a popular favourite with locals and
visitors alike to Cornwall, as well as being a much sought after
guest ale throughout the rest of the UK. It is brewed using
traditional Cornish ingredients wherever possible, including
specially grown Cornish Gold Malt. It can be enjoyed on its own or
as an accompaniment to a meal and is best suited to chicken, gammon
or fish – good enough to rival any fine white wine
HSD – 5.0% abv – our most famous and notorious ale. HSD is a
full-bodied strong Cornish ale brimming with a kaleidoscope of
flavours. Brewed with plenty of malt and lashings of English Fuggles
and Golding hops, HSD is truly a classic ale of considerable depth
and complexity. The real beer alternative to a full-bodied premium
red wine and simply superb with steaks and other red meat dishes.
Proper Job IPA - 4.5% abv Proper Job is an authentic IPA brewed with
Cornish Spring water and malt made from 100% Cornish grown Maris
Otter barley. Proper Job is dedicated to the 32nd (Cornwall)
Regiment who stoutly defended their garrison during the Indian
Mutiny in 1857-58. In recognition of a “Proper Job”, Queen Victoria
awarded the 32nd the honour of becoming a Light Infantry Regiment.
This beer is comparable to a light red wine to accompany lamb, beef
or even fish dishes
